19th Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival
Among the highlights were the return of Sunday Miscellany to the Abbey Arts Centre and Donegal Voices choir at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon and St. Mary’s, Stranorlar.
Investing in the Creation of New Artistic Work in Donegal
The Cosán Glas artists group was assisted to produce their Loinnir sculpture trail at Teach Bhaile Chonaill, An Falcarrach. An audience of over 1600 enjoyed 30 artworks by 17 artists.
Invitation to Collaboration - Cultural Diversity
Assisted by the Arts Council and the Arts Service, the Donegal Intercultural Platform delivered a programme of community consultation events to ascertain the cultural services needs of new minority ethnic communities in Donegal.
An Grianán Theatre
An Grianán Theatre celebrated its 20th anniversary with the production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale at Letterkenny and at Greencastle. Funded by Creative Europe, it featured over 40 performers and a Foyle Ferry crossing to Magilligan.
31st Earagail Arts Festival
Among the festival highlights were the world premier of Citadels of the Sun, a collaboration of Irish and Indian folk music and theatre with performers from Donegal, Derry and Rajasthan and the Donegal Choir of Ages with Moya Brennan.
