Pay Your Dog Licence Online

If you have a dog, you must have a licence for it (except where a pup, under four months old, remains with its mother). Click here to apply for a dog licence. A licence can be issued only to someone over 16 years of age. 


A dog licence costs €20.00 and is valid for one year from the date of issue – it can be bought at any post office.


Dog owners can buy a “Lifetime of Dog”  licence. This is valid for the dog’s lifetime and costs €140.00.


A “General Dog Licence” (which costs €400) is a licence allowing a person to keep an unspecified number of dogs at one designated premises and is valid for one year from the date of issue.
