Regeneration and Development - Compulsory Purchase Orders

Donegal County Council (Burtonport Harbour Redevelopment) Compulsory Purchase Order 2019
 
The Donegal County Council (Burtonport Harbour Redevelopment) Compulsory Purchase Order 2019 has been confirmed without modification by order of the Chief Executive dated 23rd November 2021. The CPO relates to land situate at Pearse Road and Ramelton Road, Letterkenny and as so confirmed it authorises the Council to acquire compulsorily and permanently for the purposes of the Letterkenny 2040 Urban Regeneration Project including all associated works involved, the land described in the schedule to the CPO and further shown on the map deposited therewith. The Council has now published Notice of Confirmation of the making of the Order in accordance with Section 78(1) of the Housing Act, 1966 as amended by the Planning and Development Acts, 2000-2021. It will become operative three weeks from the date of publication of the Notice of Confirmation.

The Donegal County Council (Letterkenny 2040 Strategic Urban Regeneration Site) Compulsory Purchase Order 2021 has been confirmed without modification by order of the Chief Executive dated 17th October 2022. The CPO relates to land situate at Pearse Road and Ramelton Road, Letterkenny and as so confirmed it authorises the Council to acquire compulsorily and permanently for the purposes of the Letterkenny 2040 Urban Regeneration Project including all associated works involved, the land described in the schedule to the CPO and further shown on the map deposited therewith. Notices to Treat were served on 8th March 2023 followed by Notices to Enter on 23rd March 2023.  The Council took possession of the lands on 8th May 2023.
