Fund Management (Internal Funds)
Development Fund Initiative
A total of €740,000 was allocated to 212 projects/groups across the five Municipal Districts during 2019.
Members Development Fund
Payments benefiting circa 500 community groups/projects throughout the county were made from the Members Development Fund which had a budget of €236,000 for 2019.
Donegal Local Community Development Committee (LCDC)
Donegal LCDC continued to monitor and evaluate the LECP 2016-2022. The Sub Group worked with the Research and Policy Unit, Donegal County Council to develop
a monitoring and evaluation framework
and system to capture and measure the
key outputs, outcomes and impacts of 105 projects that are currently active through the LECP and presented two monitoring and evaluation reports to the LCDC.
Rural Development/LEADER Programme
Donegal LCDC is the Local Action Group (LAG) responsible for the administration of
the Rural Development/LEADER Programme in the county. Working with Donegal County Council as the financial and administrative partner and four implementing partners, the LCDC oversees an RDP/LEADER budget of €12.9m in the county over the period 2014 - 2020. During 2019 the LCDC/LAG approved 59 projects to the value of €2.67m bringing the total number of projects allocated funding since the start of the Programme to 161 with a value of €8.09m.
