Proposed Social Housing Development - Kilmacrennan Road (Oran Hill), Letterkenny

 

Donegal County Council proposes to construct 34 no. high quality, energy efficient houses at Kilmacrennan Road (Oran Hill), Letterkenny. 

 

The proposed development will consist of 8 no. 1 - bedroom apartment units, 22 no. 2 - bedroom housing units and 4 no. 3 - bedroom housing units including all associated site development works.

Proposed Construction of 1 no. One and Half Storey Dwelling House at The Meadows, Ardaravan, Buncrana

Donegal County Council proposes to construct 1 no. one and a half storey social dwelling house at The Meadows, Ardaravan, Buncrana, including all associated site development works.

 

The site for the proposed development is a greenfield site located within the existing Meadows Housing Estate in Buncrana.  

 

In accordance with Article 120(1)(b)(i) of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) Donegal County Council has concluded, based on a preliminary examination of the nature, size and location of the development, that an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is not required.

 

Due to current Level 5 Covid 19 restrictions, the plans and particulars of the proposed development are available to view and inspect online.  Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area may be made in writing to The Planning Office, Donegal County Council, County House, Lifford, County Donegal, F93 Y622, or by email to housingcapital@donegalcoco.ie on or before 5.00pm on Monday, 12th April 2021.

The proposed development will consist of the construction of 16 no. 2-storey social housing units at Crana Crescent, Buncrana, consisting of 6 no. 2 - bedroom apartment units, 8 no. 2 - bedroom housing units and 2 no. 3 - bedroom housing units complete with landscaped area, car parking, new access road, and all associated site works including open space and car park upgrades to existing Crana View/Crescent estate.

Donegal County Council proposes to construct 45 no. social housing units, comprising 20 no. 2 bed apartments, 11 no. 2 bed dwellings, 10 no. 3 bed dwellings, 3 no. 4 bed dwellings and 1 no. 6 bed dwelling, including communal green / open space, new access road and all associated site development works at Drumacrin, Bundoran, Co. Donegal.

The development objective is to provide a high-quality, sustainable predominantly senior citizen housing scheme, designed to Universal Design and NZEB standards that will help address the existing social housing needs of the Ballybofey / Stranorlar area.
