Find Me a Home in Donegal Scheme
Donegal County Council is offering a free service to match individual vacant property owners who would like to sell their properties with people who may want to purchase a property in Donegal to make it their home.
Who is the Scheme for?
If you own a vacant property and are interested in selling or you are seeking to buy a property as your home, you can forward the property details and your contact details to Donegal County Council at vacanthomes@donegalcoco.ie and quote “Find me a Home in Donegal” in the subject line.
How will it work?
The Council will hold two lists – one for potential buyers and one for owners wishing to sell their property. If the Council sees a potential "match" we will put the vacant homeowner and potential buyer in touch with each other.
The Council have no role in any subsequent negotiations or future sales and recommend that anyone who is seeking to sell or buy property obtains independent professional valuation and legal advice.
Does my property have to be in a liveable condition?
Whether your vacant home needs minor or major repairs or is ready to occupy, you are welcome to join the Scheme.
How can you get on the list?
You can forward the property details and your contact details to Donegal County Council at vacanthomes@donegalcoco.ie and quote “Find me a Home in Donegal” in the subject line. Alternatively, you may contact us during office hours at 074 9153900 or call to our offices at Donegal County, Council, Old Army Barracks, Lifford, Co. Donegal, F93 W586.
