ePlanning Portal
Donegal County Council are accepting planning applications and submissions via the e-Planning portal.
The new portal, which can be accessed at https://planning.localgov.ie/, allows agents, developers, and members of the public to lodge their applications and make submissions electronically.
The Local Government Online Planning portal was designed to streamline the application for planning permission across all Local Authorities in Ireland. The online portal is easy-to-use and moves the process into an environmentally friendly one that is also user friendly. You can register your own account, submit documents online with your application, and submit further information at a later stage if requested. You can view previously submitted applications on your dashboard, as well as the status of applications quickly and easily. Planning permission in Ireland is moving towards a paperless and environmentally friendly domain where applicants have 24/7 access to their planning applications.
The new system offers improved efficiencies including:

- Reduced Printing Costs
- Faster availability of information for the public
- Environmentally Friendly - Reduced usage of paper
- Delivers on the Government strategy to move more public services online.

The portal allows you to:
- Register and login to your account to make a planning application or to manage an application that has been lodged already.
- Make a submission or observation on a Planning application.
- View and Make submissions on Part 8 schemes.
