Recycling Centres Christmas and New Year Closures
Dungloe, Letterkenny & Stranorlar recycling centers will close at 1.00pm on Tuesday 24th December, Christmas Eve.
All recycling centers will be closed on Wednesday 25th, Thursday 26th December and Wednesday the 1st January 2025.

Recycling Centres
There are six Recycling Centres in Donegal located at Carndonagh, Letterkenny, Milford, Dungloe, Stranorlar and Laghey.
These centres have an extensive free area and also have a charged recycling area. Waste items such as glass, cans, textiles, batteries and electrical goods are all accepted free of charge.
There is a range of charges from €1 to €8 for recycling paper, rigid plastic, soft plastic, cardboard, cartons and waste oils.
Payments can now be made by card at each of the 6 Recycling Centres.

Soft Plastics:

Soft Plastics are now be accepted at all 6 sites.

Soft Plastics should be separated at home from rigid plastics and all plastics should be clean, dry and loose.

Soft Plastics include plastic bags, bread bags, fruit & vegetable bags, crisp bags, biscuit & sweet wrappers, plastic food pouches, parcel packaging etc.

There will be a separate area at each site to deposit soft plastic.
Waste Paint:
Waste Paint is now accepted at the Recycling Centres, all year round. There will be a fee of €1 per 5 litre tin of paint for this service.
