Experience the Magic of the Intercultural Cabaret at An Grianán

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, poetry, and storytelling as Donegal Arts Service presents the Intercultural Cabaret at An Grianán Theatre on Friday, 28th March, from 7pm to 9pm. Leading the lineup is the incredible Dagogo Hart, an acclaimed poet, playwright and performer whose powerful work has mesmerized audiences across Ireland and beyond. Through his dynamic performances, Hart explores themes of identity, heritage, and cultural connection, making his work both deeply personal and universally resonant.

The night will also showcase vibrant performances from the Letterkenny Indian Community, Anne Omodara, Nasya Igelige and the critically acclaimed and award-winning Theresa Kavanagh & guest—each bringing their own unique artistry and storytelling to the stage. Keeping the energy high and the atmosphere welcoming, Anda Luma will guide the evening as MC.

This free event is made possible with support from Creative Ireland is offering a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the richness of intercultural arts in Donegal. Come along, soak up the creativity, and be part of this special night!

Read DL 25 draws to a close in Glenveagh National Park with author, Stewart Foster

Read DL 2025 will draw to a close at 11am Thursday 13th March in beautiful Glenveagh National Park. In attendance will be the author of this year’s book, Stewart Foster who will meet with Drumman NS Ramelton, Loreto Convent Letterkenny and St. Patrick’s Girls School, Carndonagh, the three successful schools out of those who applied to perform for him on the day.

Frances Browne Storytellers – Seeing Beyond Sight: A Celebration of Vision Impaired Storytelling

Donegal County Library Service and the Frances Browne Literary Festival are inviting blind and vision-impaired storytellers, resident in Ireland, to get involved and submit pieces for inclusion in a digital anthology to be launched in the autumn, funded through Creative Ireland. We’re hoping to create an eclectic collection of work that’ll include all genres of writing: from simple stories to song lyrics, from spoken word poetry to slice-of-life non-fiction.
