If you are approved for Council/Social Housing, you will be placed on the Housing Waiting List.
As dwellings become available for letting, they will be allocated to persons on the list in accordance with the Council’s Allocation Scheme.
This scheme determines the order of priority for allocating dwellings, taking account of the relevant circumstances of all applicants.
While you are on the Housing Waiting List, your application will be subject to ongoing review to ensure that you remain eligible for social housing support. Your position on the waiting list may go up or down, depending on your circumstances and those of the other people on the list, all of which are subject to change.
While on the Housing Waiting List, you may also be eligible for the other supports available, such as HAP, RAS and AHB accommodation (see links below).
