The regulations for vehicle refinishing activities required the EPA to set up a panel of approved assessors for the purposes of carrying out inspections under the regulations. The details of the only Approved Assessor currently operating are as follows:
Regulated operators should engage the services of this assessor for the purposes of getting their premises inspected and pay them directly. After inspection, the assessor’s final report, recommending the granting of a compliance certificate, should be forwarded to Donegal Co. Council, Central Laboratory, The Kube, Magheranan, Letterkenny, with the appropriate fee, (€70). The Council will then issue a Certificate of Compliance which will last for a period of 3 years, after which a further inspection will be required.
