2018 is Bliain na Gaeilge and we want you to be part of it.

Is í mór-aidhm Bhliain na Gaeilge ná ár dteanga dhúchais a cheiliúradh agus a láidriú trí níos mó daoine a spreagadh chun í a labhairt.  Bhí muid amuigh i measc phobal labhartha na Gaeilge ag taifeadadh roinnt scannáin bheaga suimiúla  agus beidh siad á gcur ar na meáin shóisialta againn go luath le húsáid na Gaeilge a chur chun cinn sa saol laethúil i gContae Dhún na nGall.

 Bliain na Gaeilge is all about celebrating our Irish language and encouraging more and more people to speak it every day.  We have been out and about taking small video clips of people talking Irish and we’ll be sharing these on our social media platforms to promote the everyday use of Irish in Donegal.

‘Is linne ar fad an Ghaeilge’ mar a mhaíonn Bliain na Gaeilge.  Mar sin, is cuma faoi do chumas sa Ghaeilge, bí páirteach, bí gníomhach  agus déan taifeadadh beag 10 – 15 soicind  díot féin ar do ghuthán nó ar do cheamara ag baint úsáid as ‘cúpla focal’.  Bain sult as cibé áit a bhfuil an Ghaeilge in úsáid agat,  bíodh sin ar an trá, ar an fheirm, ag ligint do scíth nó ag tógáil cursaí go réidh ag féile – is maith  an rud atá neamhghnách!

The message for Bliain na Gaeilge is ‘Irish belongs to us all’ so regardless of your level of Irish why not get involved  by recording a short 10 to 15 second clip on your camera or phone of you saying a cúpla focal.  Have fun and we would love to have lots of different settings from being on the beach, on the farm, relaxing at home to chilling out at a festival – the quirkier the better!
