Heritage Ireland 2030 - Public Consultation Extended

Heritage Ireland 2030

HERITAGE IRELAND 2030 – NEW NATIONAL HERITAGE PLAN

Heritage Ireland 2030 is the government’s new National Heritage Plan and the Department of Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht wants to hear your views.  It’s important that all heritage groups, community groups and individuals interested in built, cultural or natural heritage make submissions to the new National Heritage Plan.  Heritage Ireland 2030 will direct heritage priorities, resources and funding for the next decade in Ireland.  The vision for the new National Heritage Plan is that Ireland’s heritage is valued, enjoyed and protected for future generations.  The public consultation is arranged under three themes: (i) National Leadership & Heritage, (ii) Heritage Partnerships and (iii) Communities & Heritage.  The Department proposes to draw up an action plan under each of these themes based on the submissions received.  It’s very important that County Donegal’s heritage voices are heard as part of this national consultation process.

You should make your submission on the new National Heritage Plan (Heritage Ireland 2030) directly to the Department of Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht by on-line survey at: www.chg.gov.ie/heritage/heritageireland2030, by e-mail to: [email protected] or by post to: Heritage Ireland 2030, Department of Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht, Custom House, Dublin 1, D01 W6XO no later than the extended deadline of Sunday, March 31, 2019.  If anyone would like advice regarding preparing a submission, please contact the County Donegal Heritage Office on (074) 917 2576.
