The Museum is on the High Road in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, Ireland. It is in a large old stone building that was once part of the Letterkenny Workhouse and is beside the Intreo office.

'Donegal Museum Detectives' is a fun and educational family backpack which encourages and engages children and families to discover more about the history of County Donegal. The 'Donegal Museum Detectives' backpack is available to borrow free of charge by visitors to the Museum. It contains a variety of activities including objects to handle, which have been designed to engage children and families with the CountyMuseum exhibitions.

 

 

Researchers: Researchers are welcome by booking an appointment in advance.

Exhibitions: History of Donegal from Stone Age to Twentieth Century. Various temporary exhibitions and events all year round.

 

 

Multi Lingual Information Guide: A Guide to the first Floor exhibition is available in French, Spanish and Polish.
